Stradivarius: Ø Waste Denim
Stradivarius: Ø Waste Denim
Stradivarius’ first 100% recycled denim collection.
Stradivarius presents Ø Waste Denim, the first collection made with 100% recycled denim. Each of its pieces has been made with 100% recycled fibers, which come from different types of unusable garments, as well as production scraps and recycled plastic bottles.
Ø Waste Denim is a circular collection with a total of 9 references, including skirts, shorts, light jackets, pants, a dress, a bralette and a bag. The pieces are divided into three different shades of blue and are exquisitely soft. In addition, metal rivets, labels and other elements have been omitted as much as possible to facilitate subsequent recycling.
The Ø Waste Denim project was born with the aim of creating a circular and proximity product, since a large part of the process (the transformation of the garment into fiber, the manufacture of new yarn from it, the weaving and washing of the new fabric) is carried out taking into account the principle of proximity and always applying reverse logistics transports.
In addition, the first part of this whole process, which consists of the manual extraction of the non-textile parts of the unusable garments (such as buttons, zippers or labels), is carried out with the collaboration of two organizations for the labor integration of people at risk of social exclusion.
All this makes the Ø Waste Denim collection not just another denim collection. It is a collection made with 100% recycled fibers; without dyes; which greatly reduces water and CO2 consumption and also contributes to waste reduction.
